Oral History Project
You carried flowers. You walked into classrooms. You tried to change the world from the inside. Your story needs to be told.
The Flower Children of the 1960s and 70s were not just protesters and dreamers. Many of them became teachers — and they brought the revolution with them into classrooms across America and the world. They launched the Open Classroom Movement. They fought for children with disabilities. They believed that education could be an act of love.
Most of their stories have never been told. The system consumed them, burned them out, and moved on. TeacherWorld exists to recover that history — and to honor the generation that planted the seeds we are now tending.
Were you part of the Flower Child movement? Did it shape how you taught? We want to hear from you.

"The revolution they started is not over. It just found its home." — TeacherWorld
